At the regularly scheduled Board of Directors meeting on May 29, 2019, the following new members were added to the Board: Eugene Bentley, Councilwoman Donna Collins-Lewis, and Dr. Leah Cullins. We are excited to welcome them to the Board and look forward to working with them for the betterment of Baton Rouge.

After diligently vetting third party firms to provide accounting services to the Bridge Center, the Finance Committee recommended that the Bridge Center engage Postlethwaite & Netterville LLC to carry out these operations. Postlethwaite & Netterville will be responsible for day-to-day accounting duties of the Bridge Center to ensure accountability to taxpayers and efficiencies in operations.

In keeping with national best practices around the provision of behavioral health crisis stabilization services, the Operations Committee finalized the details of a Solicitation of Proposals (SOP) for a clinical provider for the Bridge Center’s proposed services. The SOP was distributed to national experts in this space for review before the Bridge Center’s Board unanimously voted to approve and release the solicitation publicly. The full solicitation can be found here. Interested parties should submit all questions to Breazeale, Sachse, Wilson, ATTN: Murphy Foster at P.O. Box 3197 Baton Rouge, LA 70821 on or before July 1, 2019. Printed copies of final proposals are due to Breazeale, Sachse, Wilson on or before July 25, 2019.

We look forward to seeing the Center come to fruition in early 2020 and will continue to keep you updated along the way.
